Perinatal Pilates

The Perinatal period is the time from the start of pregnancy through to one year after birth.

This is a time when the body is transitioning with many changes in your hormones, your body, and of course those psychological and emotional changes you may be experiencing too.

Taking part in a regular movement practice such as Pilates can help you as you navigate all these changes by preparing your body for birth and helping it to heal afterwards, restoring your core strength.

The benefits of a specialised Prenatal or Postnatal class don't just stop at the movement & strengthening, there's also the community aspect. Meeting other new mums/mums-to-be can be a much needing boost in a time that can feel like you're out on your own. You can share the journey with others going though the same time of life.

My Pregnancy Pilates & Postnatal Pilates classes take place at the Corbett Community Library in Catford and are run in Partnership with The Village London.
